Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro finely chopped
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 hot pepper jalapeño or habanero, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tomato optional, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 –2 tablespoons water optional, to adjust texture

Method
 

  1. Finely chop the cilantro, green onions, hot pepper, and optional tomato. Alternatively, blend for a smoother texture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all chopped ingredients.
  3. Add the lime juice and white vinegar. Stir well.
  4. Season with salt to taste. Add a tablespoon of water if you'd like to thin out the sauce.
  5. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to blend.
